REQUIREMENTS
What We Look For
Vanbert maintains the highest safety and service standards. To join our operator network, your operation must meet the following criteria:
Safety Certifications
Wyvern Wingman or ARGUS Gold/Platinum rated. FAA Part 135 certificate in good standing. Clean FAA enforcement record.
Aircraft Standards
Aircraft must be maintained to manufacturer specifications with current inspections. Interior condition must meet luxury presentation standards.
Insurance Coverage
Minimum $50 million liability coverage per occurrence. Hull insurance covering full aircraft value. Additional insured endorsement for Vanbert Aviation Group.
Crew Qualifications
Pilots must meet minimum 3,000 total hours with 1,500 hours PIC in type. Current medical certificates and proficiency checks required.

Your Captain Sets the Tone
Every crew in our dispatched network meets Vanbert's published standards. No exceptions, no case-by-case. Operators who can't hold this line don't stay in the network.
Uniform & Presentation
Crisp captain's uniform, closed-toe footwear, neutral fragrance, well-groomed. Casual is never appropriate for luxury charter. Crew meets passengers at the aircraft — not from inside the cockpit.
Language Fluency
Native or fluent English required. Bilingual crew flagged at booking for Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Mandarin speakers. The captain's pre-flight briefing is done face-to-face, not via intercom.
Hours on Type
Every captain has a minimum of 500 pilot-in-command hours on the exact aircraft type being flown. First officers: 200+ hours on type. We show these numbers per crew in your Trip Portal — you see the actual qualifications before you board.
Route Experience
For Bahamas Out Island operations (grass strips, short runways, VFR-daylight-only destinations), crew must have flown the specific airport within the prior 12 months. We don't send crews to unfamiliar strips.
Rest & Duty Compliance
FAR Part 117 rest requirements are the floor, not the ceiling. Operators in our network voluntarily exceed minimums. No fatigued crew, no pressure to fly beyond safe limits. Captain has absolute authority to delay or divert.
Training Currency
Recurrent simulator training every 6 months (twice the regulatory minimum for most operators). First-aid and CPR current within 12 months. All flight attendants carry AED and EpiPen training.
Passenger Confidentiality
Crew signs NDAs covering passenger identity, itinerary, and conversations. No social media posts of passengers, aircraft interiors, or routes without explicit written consent. Celebrity clients can verify NDA on file before boarding.
Safety Transparency
Crew gives a genuine safety briefing — not a commercial-airline script. Exits, equipment, overwater considerations, pet restraint, child seat installation. Questions welcomed, never rushed.
